Founder Story
From Hands-On to High-Tech
by Franco Presta, Founder
I was born and raised in Itasca, Illinois, in a tight-knit Italian immigrant family. My earliest memories are of being surrounded by people who built things — general contractors, restaurant owners, tradespeople, and entrepreneurs. They worked long hours, solved problems with their hands, and poured everything into the businesses they created.
But there was something else I noticed: when it came to technology, most of them felt left behind. Computers, software, and digital systems seemed complicated, expensive, and untrustworthy. They weren’t built for the people I knew — they were built for someone else, somewhere else.
I was one of the few in my circle who dove headfirst into programming and technology. And as I learned, one thing became clear: technology shouldn’t be a barrier. It should be a tool — one that gives back time, simplifies the complicated, and opens doors to new possibilities.
That’s why I started SIQstack — SIQ stands for Speed Intelligence Quality: software solutions powered by intelligent systems and solid engineering. We take the same pride in building software that my family and community take in building homes, running restaurants, or completing a project on the job site. Every line of code, every system we design, is crafted with the same dedication to quality, function, and integrity.
Our mission is simple: to bring the benefits of technology to people who’ve never had the luxury of trusting it before — and to make it work for them, not against them.
In a world where digital tools can feel cold or impersonal, we forge solutions with a human touch. Tools that fit seamlessly into the way our clients work, save them hours of frustration, and give them back the freedom to focus on what matters most.
Because at the end of the day, whether you’re building a house or building software, the goal is the same: create something that lasts, something that works, and something you can be proud of.
